Who We Are
Proudly serving for more than 100 years, Norriton Fire Engine Company 61 was chartered on May 17, 1917, to protect the growing population of East Norriton Township in central Montgomery County. We operate two stations to provide a quick response in the township and neighboring communities.
The Fire Commissioner’s Office of Pennsylvania has recognized Norriton Fire Engine Company for our firefighters heightened level of training and certification. In addition to bi-weekly drills at the station on Monday nights, many volunteers strive to obtain higher levels of training, and become certified at state and national levels for firefighting and rescue disciplines. We not only train at the Montgomery County Fire Academy, but also the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, National Fire Academy, PA and Federal Emergency Management Agencies and many others.
